A bright cool Los Angeles morning. Although I'm a true New Yorker now, I will always have a special place for my home state of California. It's always a treat to visit here.
When I think of my childhood home, as well as my home in NYC, I feel safe, happy, and protected. They are spaces in which I feel love and nourishment. I'm fortunate because I know this is not always the case, and there are many spaces in which I do not feel this way.

Mindful Spaces Retreat
I hope some of you will join me next Spring for an intimate mindfulness-awareness focused feng shui retreat in Upstate New York. The program will be centered around my forthcoming book MINDFUL HOMES and will include practices to cultivate a healing living space, including meditation practice. Skylake Lodge is like a second home to me, so I'm delighted that they are hosting this retreat.
